With Plasma 5, both monitors are detected in kscreen. When I've chosen both screen separated, my cursor can move to the other screen's area, and in the workspace it acts as if there are two screens but the second screen is black. I've investigated this online for a long time but haven't come up with a solution. The graphics card is: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Curacao XT [Radeon R7 370 / R9 270X/370 OEM]

I did try installing the amd drivers, but when I'd done that it only detected one monitor which left me in a worse situation, so I removed them and Plasma 5 gave me both monitors when I'd updated and updated the version of Plasma 5 to the latest. But still struggling with one black screen.

Problem solved. Hardware problem - nothing to do with Plasma 5.
