Description slartibart70 2016-01-01 14:35:38 UTC
Attaching a 2nd monitor via hdmi out (using hdmi-dvi connector)
Plasma crashes so often that normal working with the system (as opposed to running with a single screen) is nearly impossible. Examples:
- opening kicker menu, adding an entry to the favorites menu -> crash
- favorites entries keep changing depending on a single or multiple monitors being attached (2 monitors: favorites is empty, removing it: 'default' entries (dolphin, systemsettings etc) appear)
- setting up the 2nd monitor as main display (systemsettings - display and monitor - primary display) : crash

All this happens after a new user is set up (useradd, then logging in into kde for the first time). Removing the user and his directories and starting from scratch shows same behaviours. This all happens when trying to work with the system... in kde4 this was just working amazingly well, but now????

Reproducible: Always

If there's a crash I need a bactrace in order to do anything with it
