Description Steffen Hartmann 2015-12-31 14:26:35 UTC
In Kaddressbook when selecting an address book entry the German "Umlaute" are shown wrong. However when opening the contact the Umlaute show correct (in the same contact)

Reproducible: Always

is it possible to provide test case ?
export as vcard please ?
I don't use german language so it's not easy for me to write Umlaute.
Thanks

Hello Laurent,

I attached the vcard a view minutes ago.
What do you mean by "test case"? How can I create of find?

Thank you.

the problem is not kaddressbook it's "LABEL" which has a problem it's not stored as utf8
How did you import it ?
Which application provides it ?

Hello Laurent,

Ok, I understand now it´s the way how the data came into kaddressbook that causes the problem.

Unfortunatly I can´t reproduce how the data was passing over the years from one server to the other. It was definitly stored on google, microsoft, owncloud and my mobile phone. Maybe all contacts were copied with thunderbird in the past. There were also cyclic system changes between windows, mac and linux in the past.

Thank you however for your help.

regards,

Steffen
