I am wondering why my KDELibs-Version 4.13.3 is not available here in the version-field of that bug-report. Can you explain?

As you can see on the screenshot I am using Kubuntu 14.04.03 LTS in a German version.

To describe the bug please see the red mark on the screenshot:
When adding a new printer I can select with a checkbox if this printer should be published (my own translation) to other systems.

As I learned in the german ubuntu forum this checkbox only affects the CUPS system - nothing more.

It doesn't touch SAMBA. I was quite shocked to see that all my printers are available in the network rather I deactivated your checkbox.

This situatin lower the security and disinform the user.

Minimal solution: Modify the description of the checkbox and add the info about CUPS. Something like "publish the printer with CUPS".

Nicer solution: Think about what your gui means for the user and what should the gui affect technicaly. So your gui could check for the SAMBA printer settings, too. Maybe there are more systems available how to publish printers in a network - you should check for them, too.
If this is not possible for you be more specific in the description of that checkbox.

Thanks for the bug report.
The CheckBox title is "Share this printer", how other way one can share a printer without making it available on the network?
You might want to contact the translation team to use a better wording, also it's up to your distribution to actually make that possible by default as the CUPS server needs to be set to "Share Printers".
