Description Mark Long 2015-12-24 01:04:51 UTC
I have seen this on two different Ubuntu systems, both running 14.04, both on 0.9.10. The stacktrace that Ubuntu generated was not at all helpful but it seems a solid repro.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Add at least one track - I typical work with 2-4.
Set the name of the track by clicking on the track name e.g Video 1 and entering text - do not press enter!
Click on the next track.
App segfaults.

It does not segfault if you press enter before clicking somewhere else which is a good workaround. I can repro this consistently.

Actual Results:
Segfault

Expected Results:
No segfault

I can not reproduce this in latest git.
kdenlive-git 15.12.0.r6759.5103ea6-1
mlt-git r4154.v0.9.2.376.g9e04d46-1

As stated on https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manual/BugReporting , old versions are not receiving support. It might be unfortunate to users who can't or don't want to upgrade to the latest Kdenlive version but is unavoidable and understandable considering the development team size.

Fair enough. I was unaware that I was using an older build. I will update and see if I can repro.

Thanks for looking at this and for the work that you are doing on an excellent bit of software. Much appreciated.

Unfortunately, due to lack of developer resources, only recent stable/beta/dev Kdenlive versions are supported. At the time of this writing, Kdenlive 16.04.2 is current, with beta 16.07.90 in the works. As I also cannot reproduce this bug with a recent beta, and the report is for an old unsupported version, I'm closing this report. Thank you very much for your cooperation!
