Scrolling is very important in a file manager i guess. In my Acer aspire this does not work in the area that files and folders are shown (in my Kubuntu 15.10). I can scroll only if i place my mouse pointer in the scrollbar at the right. With other programs (f.e. nautilus, firefox etc) scroll views work correctly. PS. I am useing two finders scrolling. PS2. Congratulations for your great open source app! Reproducible: Always
I can confirm this on my install. I am working with Kubuntu 15.10 as well, using the backports ppa. My hardware is a Dell XPS13 (2015 Developer edition). Two-finger scrolling is nearly unresponsive in the file window, and only works properly when the mouse is on the scrollbar on the right. I have tried to reinstall dolphin to no avail, and system settings seem not to affect Dolphin. Two-finger scrolling works beautifully in every other application.
I confirm this very same problem. My computer is an hp af116la, processor AMD Quado Core A8-7410 APU, touchpad ETPS/2 Elantech I recently tried dolphin 5.x in Archlinux, Ubuntu 16.04 and Opensuse leap 42.1. Touchpad scroll works correct in other apps (firefox, google chrome, gwenview, kate, konsole...) except in Dolphin. I hope it'll get fixed. Thanks in advance.
Affects me as well (Samsung Series 7). Touchpad scrolling (2 finger or side area) does work in dolphin, however, it is very rocky. Sometimes it works as it should, sometimes it's jumpy, most of the time it doesn't respond at all to touchpad scrolling. This has been the case with Kubuntu 15.10 and is still so with Kubuntu 16.04, now running dolphin 15.12.3 on KF 5.23, Plasma 5.6.5.
Definitely working in Dolphin 16.12.3.
