I am trying to change my "Folder to store torrent information" from /media/Data/Downloads/ to any existing path on my file system. My /dev/sdd1 was mounted to /media/Data/ and then unmounted, so /media/Data/Downloads/ does not exists now. ~/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/log says: вт дек. 15 09:29:58 2015: Switching to datadir /home/wildalmighty/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/ вт дек. 15 09:29:58 2015: Setting suspended state to 1 вт дек. 15 09:29:58 2015: /media/Data/Downloads/tor15/ -> /home/wildalmighty/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/tor15/ вт дек. 15 09:29:58 2015: Could not move /media/Data/Downloads/tor15/ to /home/wildalmighty/.kde/share/apps/ktorrent/tor15/ вт дек. 15 09:29:58 2015: Error, rolling back вт дек. 15 09:29:58 2015: Setting suspended state to 0 вт дек. 15 09:29:59 2015: Stopped update timer The result is that I cannot use KTorrent now. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Umount/remove dev containing the path to the old datadir 2. Go to Settings -> Configure KTorrent -> Application 3. Change "Folder to store torrent information" with an existing path 4. Press "Save" Actual Results: "Folder to store torrent information" (datadir) is not changed. Expected Results: "Folder to store torrent information" (datadir) should be changed. KTorrent cannot be used with the old datadir, so I have to manually delete my config file ~/.kde/share/config/ktorrentrc in order to use kTorrent again.
Thanks for the report Petar. I've checked this on ktorrent and I can't reproduce the issue. When I start ktorrent and the data directory is unavailable it resets to default. Can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved.
