Description opensuse.lietuviu.kalba 2015-12-14 09:01:31 UTC
After pressing and holding some corner of folder widget, whole plasma desktop became irresponsible, even clock stops. But keyboard Ctrl+Alt+F[1-7] works, Alt+F2 works, so I can kill plasmashell and restart. Usually this happens after moving Folder widget from panel to desktop.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Repeatedly press and hold some corner of folder widget

Actual Results:
At some point whole desktop no longer respond to mouse clicks. Seconds in systray's clock may stop running.

Expected Results:
Desktop is responsive always.

Actually, running system is openSUSE based appliance, made in SUSE Studio. You can download it for testing youself https://susestudio.com/a/CttYWz/lietukas-42-1-64-bit-english?version=42.1.12#appliance-downloads or just run online https://susestudio.com/a/CttYWz/lietukas-42-1-64-bit-english/start_testdrive?version=42.1.12

After restarting plasmashell, Folder widget no longer exist
Comment 2 Eike Hein 2015-12-14 18:24:49 UTC
Is this with the Intel driver? There's a known bug breaking display updates IIRC. Otherwise I can't reproduce this unfortunately.
Comment 3 opensuse.lietuviu.kalba 2015-12-14 18:50:21 UTC
Yes it uses Intel video drivers
Comment 4 opensuse.lietuviu.kalba 2015-12-14 18:56:00 UTC
So you will close it
Comment 5 Eike Hein 2015-12-14 19:10:02 UTC
I'll keep it as NEEDSINFO/WORKSFORME for now in case there are more reports of this that show some sort of pattern.
Comment 6 Andrew Crouthamel 2018-09-19 14:41:23 UTC
This bug has had its resolution changed, but accidentally has been left in NEEDSINFO status. I am thus closing this bug and setting the status as RESOLVED to reflect the resolution change.
