Hello! Before some time I had a big issue to find how to make Dolphin to display search results for files. After some 'research' in Google I found that the solution is to add my /home directory in the Baloo KCM under the 'Do not search in these locations' list. This, as described in some articles I had read then, is totally contraintuitive and very confusing. Reproducible: Always

This makes no sense. Could you please paste your `~/.local/share/baloofilerc` file and the location of the file you were searching for.
I have edited the file to try to make it work correctly. I have applied the configuration that responds to the settings on the screenshot (The first one). I can't understand how to search files in Dolphin you should 'blacklist' /home? After this I have edited the baloofilerc file (the second one) to see what will happen - I'm not sure with which way shoud work correctly because it returns results in both ways (maybe because there are many already indexed files).

This isn't our bug; the internet gave you bad advice. Adding your home directory to "Do not search in these locations" makes baloo *not* search in those locations.

Adding your home > directory to "Do not search in these locations" makes baloo *not* search in > those locations. This was over a year ago, it was mix of some old configuration from old baloo versions remained + bad internet advice :)
