When I unplug my external monitor Konsole crashes, killing all the sessions. Happens almost always with konsole from openSUSE Leap 42.1 as well as the one from openSUSE KDE:Frameworks5 repo - konsole-15.08.3-3.1.x86_64 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Plug in external monitor 2. Open Konsole 3. Unplug external monitor Actual Results: Konsole window is gone Expected Results: Konsole window not gone :) Doesn't happen to any other open windows, like Firefox, Chrome, etc. Only to Konsole.
I can confirm the same issue. also on opensuse Leap 42.1 and packages from KDE:Frameworks5. Framework version is 5.17 and plasma is 5.5.2 I also noted that a running program in one of the konsole session (weechat irc client) is still running after konsole "crash".
also reported for opensuse : https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=957060
Same problem on Debian testing: Qt: 5.5.1 KDE Frameworks: 5.16.0 Konsole: 16.04.1 Strangely, the hiding windows suddenly reappeared one time when I changed display mirroring settings (using xrandr). I could not reproduce this, however.
Can you submit a stacktrace? If it crashes, drkonqi should pop up and show you one.
