sometimes, the new "look" for the task does not appear, and appear as the old type task, frecently it happens when you change the acctivity

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open an aplication
2.change the activity
3.return to the default activity

this is the snapshot of my actual taskmanager at this moment, you can see the difference between tasks, in this case, the Opera has the newer theme, the other two, the brise theme

You need to delete your caches in $HOME/.cache/plasma*, sorry for the trouble.
