Today's git. Hello, The view titles are gone and now it's 1. impossible to drag deattached (free-flowing, own-window) views 2. impossible to drag solo views 3. hard to drag coupled views (views that are on top of each other and have tabs) I'm using a tiled window manager (Awesome) with window decoration disabled. I am able to move deattached views but not dock them. I'm assuming common window mangers with window decoration can also move the deattached views but not attach them. (1) Steps to reproduce: 1. Start Kdenlive 2. Try to drag a view that is integrated in the main kdenlive window. (1) Expected result: 1. It's possible and easy (1) Actual result: 1. It's impossible for solo views and hard for coupled views (2) Steps to reproduce: 1. Start Kdenlive 2. Try to drag a view that is deattached to integrate it into the main kdenlive window. (2) Expected result: 1. It's possible and easy (2) Actual result: 1. It's impossible. Short term solution: bring view titles back. Long term solution: make tabs serve the same purpose that view titles had: dragging them around. Also make tabs always show (even if deattached or alone). The dock widget title bars can be shown/hidden with the menu option: View > Show Title Bars This allows for a more condensed UI when all widgets are docked. Enabling that option again will allow you to manage the docks again
Thanks for clarifying. Wow. I obviously was too distracted or tired. To me it seemed that the title bars disappeared without my doing but I must have clicked by accident or forgot. I tested removing kdenliverc and the default settings is that the title bars are enabled, which is good in my opinion. Please go ahead and either close this ticket. The fact that with very eager pixel-clicking it is possible to undock a view even though titles should be disabled could be considered a bug with very low priority.
closing, considering invalid. report based on unfamiliarity with UI.
