Konqueror display hangs on some cpu spikes (and sometimes recovers) and eventually if left running for a few days. (and even then some display might still work, just no cursor or display of text during entry) It's ... eventually.. 100% reproducible. Anywhere up to 2 weeks... A restart and session is lost - previous session is restored. Starting a second konsole and reproducing the layout (eventually - sometimes I run 10-12 tabs - almost everything I do is console based) - and the new instance works for same period. Power management isn't a factor - my desktop and laptop both do this. Ditto video driver - laptop is Intel and desktop is nVidia. Both are 64-bit, and both running current ubuntu - so konsole 15.08.0. Kernel either - they run different kernels due to some issues with laptop wireless. I'm suspecting the connection with display is disconnecting and it's not recovering properly - but that's just an assumption. Haven't explored in depth over how display is handled. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. CPU spikes (sometimes) 2. Let it run for a week or so (eventually) Actual Results: text stops being output on entry. Sometimes all text freezes. Entry sometimes stops too - but usually continues. Resembles ctrl-s/ctrl-q except does not (usually) recover. Expected Results: Console continues operating, cursor continues working. Note : system console works fine and can't reproduce, seems strictly konsole related.
You wrote konqueror, but you meant konsole, right? This could be what got fixed in https://phabricator.kde.org/D6078? See bug 230184.
