Description Aristide 2015-11-21 01:12:45 UTC
Hello ! I have find a bug : Akonadi (so, http.so launched by Akonadi) take lof CPU and Bandwith usage when Server is not available.

You can see a video about that : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wgw_0jSNMjg

Version of Akonadi5 : 15.11.60git.20151119T183314~1a62087-168.1

Reproducible: Always

Thanks for the video, really drives the point home :)

What do you mean by "server not available" exactly? I see that your WiFi connection is up, so network is here, but is the server down (so HTTP requests would get a connection refused) or are the connections ending with a timeout? Also are you behind a captive portal?

Hello ! Sorry for response time :)

The test case :
→ Create new Owncloud Server
→ Setting Akonadi for this server
→ Uninstall Owncloud without stop Apache Server

I don't know if this bug appear when Apache server is stopped.

I think I have the same issue when I mount a remote disk with sshfs and the internet connection dies. Dolphin becomes irresponsive, http.so appears in the process list and often I need to restart computer.
I am using Kubuntu 18.04
