In the search bar which is opened with <kbd>Ctrl</kbd>+<kbd>F</kbd> the icons for toggeling case sensitivity and others are missing (see attached screenshot for details).

Version information (which doesn't match the list entries above at all afaik):
Version 15.08.2
KDE Frameworks 5.15.0
Qt 5.4.2 (built against 5.4.2)

Works for me (but I'm not on Ubuntu). How does it look with the latest versions of everything?

Looks for me like an packaging issue, works e.g. for 16.08 on archlinux just fine. If no updates solves this, please report it to the distribution (kdesrc source build works here, too)
