The icons changed again. It's not good for productivity since you should get used to the icons to gain some time instead of reading the tooltips. Please make some choices and stay with it more longer. An example is the battery or the paste icon. Worse is the global "settings" icon. IMOH, the icon with 2 switches was more efficient and light. It's the second time you come to this one. If you let people taste too much, and change again, they are more likely to say "It was better before". I don't know if it's a bug, ask for enhancement or feedback, but I think it's a goodway to share with you. Reproducible: Always
Hi Olivier, thanks for the feedback. we discuss it also in Plasma and VDG and you have right. The good thing is that 1. we sync the icons between the applications and the plasma theme cause some are different and this doesn't make sence. 2. the big distributions start shipping plasma 5 so the standard user don't have the history you or I have. again thanks for the feedback.
> 2. the big distributions start shipping plasma 5 so the standard user don't have the history you or I have. Do note that quite some "big" distros have been shipping plasma 5 for some time now (kubuntu, fedora, opensuse, manjaro, arch...), it will take some more time before the newest icon set will get to standard users and so _everyone_ currently running plasma 5 has those old icons and thus have the "history".
I think that staying with very *light* icons looks more 201x than others, and that's what I really liked in the previous set. Whatever the future is, keep up the good job, the more I deal with KDE, the prouder I get to contribute to it. Cheers and have fun :)
(vdg - if you don't plan any action on this bug, please close as resolved-wontfix)
I added my feedback here: https://forum.kde.org/posting.php?mode=reply&f=285&t=129149 I hope it can help. Feel free to ask for more precisions and to redirect people to the thread so that it is constructive for you :)
