Description deadlydud 2015-11-17 16:44:43 UTC
create desktop shortcut.

apt-get upgrade

desktop shortcut dissappears when new app is installed.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
Desktop shortcut to survive, since the /usr/bin/ file location is unchanged.

Happens to popular icon shortcuts like Chrome, Kodi etc

It keeps happening .. install opera .. it creates /usr/bin/opera .. drag from Kmenu Application Internet Opera to desktop as shortcut ... wait for "a new update of opera" (which just replaces /usr/bin/opera with a new version) .. desktop icon disappears during the upgrade..
