i do not know if this bug might go to plasmashell: when using the audio up/down volume or mute button on my laptop, a popup shows up and making a a sound. I would like to silence this sound, but there is no entry in the notification settings in systemsettings. Please make this configurable. Reproducible: Always
Actually, are you sure you're using Plasma-PA (the PulseAudio one, it's called Audio Volume in the system tray setup) and not KMix? Or alternatively are you sure you haven't got both of them running? Because KMix, at least for me, is the thing that makes that sound. Uninstalling Kmix makes the volume adjustment sound go away (or it did for me), so perhaps that will work for you, too? The volume control hotkeys and the OSD still work, though you may need to restart Plasma. On a similar, note, though, sadly removing KMix gets rid of options to have that sound entirely. I actually liked that sound, I thought it was sort of cute/useful for seeing if sound worked. I wonder if an option for it could be put into the notifications KCM in System Settings?
You are right, this actually comes from KMix. Thx for the hint. However, the bug still is valid (just another component)
