I am not sure what causes it to happen, nothing crashes, nothing errors out and all seems normal but rarely when I try to use the "leave menu", nothing on it works as it should. "logout, lock, restart and shutdown" don't do anything when I click them, I normally result to doing these actions from the terminal so it's not exactly hell but I can't imagine what the person that has no idea what to do actually does about this. It's not always broken but breaks often enough to cause a headache. I was told to try "systemctl daemon-reexec" and to try again but the menu items still didn't respond in any way. The only item that works immediately is "switch user". I clicked on suspend and hibernate in my last issue and only about a minute later did the screens go black but that was it, the computer didn't actually go to sleep, I could still browse the terminals and I just rebooted from there. I'm not sure what caused the monitors to go black (suspend or hibernate) as they went black about a minute after playing with the entries in the leave menu. At the moment, the leave menu works when it works but fails often enough to really get in the way. If there is anything I can do to help with more information, please let me know. Thanks! Victor thanks for the report, I know it's been a while but can you please confirm if this still occurs for you in a recent Plasma desktop?
