For Dark themes of Breeze for example, variables such as x and y have a dark font color rendering them very hard to read

kalgebra in breeze dark showing hard to read colors

This bug still exists in kalgebra 21.04.3, KDE Frameworks 5.89.0
Comment 3 AF 2023-03-12 23:11:05 UTC
This bug is still present in KAlgebra version 22.12.3, KDE Frameworks version 5.103.0

Until this is fixed, a suitable workaround would be:
1. Install Kvantum
2. Set a non-dark theme in Kvantum Manager
3. Right click on your application menu and click edit applications
4. Navigate to the launcher for KAlgebra and set the environment variables value to the following: QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE=kvantum

This will allow you to use a lighter theme of your choosing for this application specifically.
