I received a zipx last year from IEEEXtreme, it is protected by a password. opening zipx and using correct password it wont decompress. ark digital/digital_gift_bundle.zipx ark.kerfuffle: Mimetype for filename extension ( "application/octet-stream" ) did not match mimetype for content ( "application/zip" ). Using content-based mimetype. ark.kerfuffle: Failed to move file "/tmp/anon/ark-7oQ9t4/Xtreme Digital Gift Bundle/Graphics for T-shirts/XtremeLogo8.0.jpg" to final destination. for what I can see it detect the folders, as on /tmp/$USER/ark-XXXX it create's all the zip folder's, but empty. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.open zipx file 2.try opening some file 3.use the correct password Actual Results: it wont show the supposed file, actually it will try to open the supposed destination file, that doesn't exist. Expected Results: opening the file showing the content. 7zip works fine
Can you provide us that zipx archive? Maybe through a private link via email, if the archive contains sensitive data?

I can reproduce it with the archive you gave me. However it looks like an issue specific to unzip, since (as you said) 7zip does extract the archive. So does Ark 15.12 (not yet released), becuase 7zip is now the default plugin that handles zip files.
I reported this issue to the info-zip developers. Hopefully should be fixed in the next version of unzip. Closing as there is nothing we can do from the Ark side.
okular as a bug too, when asking for password. puting the correct password, okular cant decrypt the file.
