Description Anton Gubarkov 2015-11-03 21:17:29 UTC
the playhead doesn't move in response to a seek request. I tested on AVCHD and on JPG/PNG clips. When I click the timeline, a blue bar appears, but the black triangle of the playhead stays where it is. If I start playback, sometimes the playhead moves to the blue bar position and starts playback.

Effect settings tweak is nightmare - I can't see the effect of my tweaks until I start playback.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
playhead moves within seconds of the seek request. The effect/transition tweaks are visible immediately.

well, when I wiped all kdenlive configs in .local, .kde4 and .config, and re-created it, the problem went away.
I still have the removed files in backups (will keep until 2015 Dec, the 1st). please let me know if you need them.

Yes, it seems to be the same issue. As soon as I raise MLT threads above 1, I start to experience it. In addition to lagging playhead, I also can't see the immediate effects of my tweaks to parameters to effects and transitions.
Dropping the number of therads to 1 restores the normal behaviour.
