Description Matthias 2015-10-31 08:47:26 UTC
[feature request]

Add a "Get new hot stuff" button for widget styles, just like that implementation for mouse cursors and so on.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open System Settings
2. Application appearance
3. Style

Actual Results:
no "get new hot stuff" button for the widget style.

Expected Results:
a "get new hot stuff" button for the widget style. ;)

The Plasma desktop does not have any style-engine which supports themes. The only engine I know that supports them is QtCurve. I am not sure its configuration dialog already has GHNS support. Reassigning.
Comment 2 Matthias 2015-11-03 12:20:22 UTC
I mean a get new hot stuff button for style-engines, rephrase that in the title, thanks a lot.
Comment 3 Christoph Feck 2015-11-04 21:45:59 UTC
Which part of comment #1 was unclear? Plasma has no widget styles which support themes.

Please do not reassign if you lack the details of how Qt widget styles work.
Comment 4 Matthias 2015-11-05 21:55:21 UTC
Which part of the the description and comment #2 is unclear ?

I mean the widget style, and that means something like QtCurve and adwaita-qt, see here:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Uniform_look_for_Qt_and_GTK_applications#Overview

Please do not reassign if you lack the details of what Qt widget styles are ;)
Comment 5 Christoph Feck 2015-12-03 19:27:17 UTC
Qt only supports QStyle plugins (shared libraries), which GHNS does not support.
