Many local councils provide public transportation information over ftp or http GTFS file. this information can be useful to provide routes.

the format provide access to routes , stop location , and schedule.

small counties will have around 10mb but bigger cities (Paris, Prague etc) will have up to 1 GB file uncompressed. The files can have non latin characters.

Similar concept already implemented at git://anongit.kde.org/publictransport, but it fail to load big files.
