Description Erike Magegere 2015-10-25 05:51:58 UTC
after 3.13.0-66-generic was installed due to upgrade KDEConnect does not open and after a while goes into a single core loop at 100%. Booting to 3.13.0-65-generic this does not occur and all is normal. Purge/install from PPA does not fix.
(this also seems to be occurring on 15.10 - will investigate further)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. do upgrade that includes 3.13.0-66-generic et all
2. boot system
3. after a couple of minutes or attempted use of KDE connect - loop

Actual Results:
single core loop with KDEconnect - force kill stops it

Expected Results:
KDE connect operational

The place for the KDECONNECT device in dolphin give an error message resource does not exist

this is on an HP 6730b laptop 8GB from 2010 and a KDE connect on a Samsung S5-H
KDEConnect works flawlessly between the two on 3.13.0-65-generic. The S5 shows device unavailable when KDE Connect loops.
Comment 1 Erike Magegere 2015-10-25 06:09:23 UTC
please ignore comment about 15.10, it is (so far) unreproducible. It occurred when the network on my HP6730b was completely disabled (even after booting 14.04). Somehow the network simply started working again on all systems and KDEConnect works on 15.10..

the previous comment does not show so as a repeat and additional:
After installing system upgrades that included linux-image-3.13.0-68-generic kde connect worked again - except for the large file transfer showing completed successfully but the file truncated at random lengths
after upgrading to linux-image-3.13.0-71-generic again KDE Connect fails to where android can not find the Kubuntu system. It does not loop as in linux-image-3.13.0-66-generic
