Description Nikola Kovacs 2015-10-20 07:11:45 UTC
kmix uses 100% cpu after playing sound for a minute or so.

Here's an strace: https://paste.kde.org/p6drzs5ex

The resource temporarily unavailable errors at the start happen when I click on chrome to start playing a youtube video (it happens whenever I click on another window and it causes a focus switch)

The 100% cpu usage starts at the brk calls. It ends with the resource temporarily unavailable errors at the end, a minute or so after stopping audio playback.

Reproducible: Always

I just upgraded to kubuntu 15.10.

kmix --version gives:

Qt: 4.8.6
KDE Development Platform: 4.14.13
KMix: 4.6RC1

There's another audio volume widget in the panel as well, with a plasma5 style popup (I think it's this one: http://packages.ubuntu.com/wily/plasma-pa). I killed kmix, and now everything is fine. I don't know why kmix is needed at all.
