If a konsole user is to resort to using the mouse, then I think it would be more practical that there was a Bookmarks Toolbar where we can have our folders and subfolders of bookmarks. I have found that trying to use the Bookmarks menu, I end up having to "snipe-click" in order to select the desired bookmark. I guess it should be an optional feature. Would it be too difficult to implement ? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Just open Konsole 2. There is no option for Bookmarks Toolbar.
If I were to try to add this feature myself, what is the best way to start ? Any How-Tos / links on how to get started on KDE / konsole development ?
Hey Szlogan, if you want to learn how to contribute to KDE and in this case to konsole: (1) the source can be found here: https://phabricator.kde.org/source/konsole/ (2) you can checkout the phabricator project page here: https://phabricator.kde.org/project/view/37/ (3) additional infos can be found here: https://konsole.kde.org/ (4) a forum with to answer your questions can be found here: https://forum.kde.org/viewforum.php?f=227 For QT and KDE development you can query your favorite search engine. I cannot say how hard it would be to implement your ideas.
