Please test if commit c451d02404fbb48e4c122c20 or later fixes your problem.

Have you had the chance to verify if the bug is fixed? The commit is part of the 'master' branch, so if you are using master and have no issues, then the problem is solved.

I just checked that this now works as it should in the latest git version of kbibtex.
