Media controls should be shown on lock screen. Maybe under the time? This would include volume controls, play/pause back/forward, etc when KDE detects that music is playing.

Oh, by the way, when I say "when KDE detects that music is playing", I mean "when MPRIS says that music is playing" :)

Works for me on Plasma 5.10.4 when either smplayer or amarok is running.

Maybe it wasn't implemented back then ? Can you retry ?
