When I go to Systemsettings->Regional Settings->Formats I can't select the usual de_DE as either Region or any of the detailed settings. The only German dialects that are provided are nds_DE which is lower German (flat German) and ksh_DE which is the Cologne dialect. ksh_DE has a correct description as being regional, but nds_DE is labeled as "Germany" so the KCM obviously thinks that it's the main locale for Germany. When I change it manually in .config/plasma-locale and .config/plasma-locale-settings.sh the corresponding drop-down menus do show de_DE, but any category that I configured with en_US instead of de_DE still only shows nds_DE. My current (manually corrected locale settings): [Formats] LANG=en_US.UTF-8 LC_COLLATE=en_US.UTF-8 LC_MEASUREMENT=de_DE.UTF-8 LC_MONETARY=de_DE.UTF-8 LC_NUMERIC=en_US.UTF-8 LC_TIME=en_US.UTF-8 useDetailed=true [Translations] LANGUAGE= Any de_DE was formerly cofnigured as nds_DE through Systemsettings. Reproducible: Always
Confirmed using openSUSE Tumbleweed, systemsettings5-5.5.4-1.1.x86_64
This is working for me with Plasma 5.22. Can you check again?
