Description Greg Lepore 2015-10-11 22:24:15 UTC
After a recent upstream update to parts of Kate, the Recent Files menu is correctly filled when a file is selected, but is always empty on a restart of the program.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open file
2. File appears in Recent Files
3. Close program
4. Recent Files is empty

Kate version is 15.08.01 (any idea why bugs.kde.org has versions number 5.0.0, etc.? How does that tie to what I see in About->Kate?)

KDE Frameworks 5.15.0
Qt 5.4.2 (built against 5.4.2)
The xcb windowing system

Closing this as deleting .config has restored Kate to normal behavior.

Is it known which file in the .config folder breaks this?

Deleting the whole .config folder is not an options for me.
I have already deleted all files containing kate in their names.
