Description Joel Teixeira 2015-10-07 02:52:13 UTC
First, the problem doesn't happens on kmail only, but on any other kde spell check enabled application like Kate or instance. If I write any accented word (like "já") it will report the word as unknow and suggest the same word but with a question mark in place of the accented character.

In the end, it will replace the word for the same word but using a different enconding that doesn't recognize the accent itself.

The problem is not on hunspell, since a simple "echo já > test.txt" followed by a "hunspell -d pt_BR test.txt" won't report any issue with the spelling.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open kate
2. write an accented word like "já", "árvore" or any other.
3. Click on tools, check spelling
4. It will suggest "j?" or "?rvore" for the samples above.

Actual Results:
I'll unable to check the spelling of any document.

Expected Results:
To show the word as correct (ignoring it).
