Description Gustaw Smolarczyk 2015-10-04 18:19:43 UTC
I am encountering ktorrent pauses from time to time (10s of normal activity, 10s of a pause).

By pause I mean a freeze that lasts 10 seconds. During this time nothing is being downloaded/uploaded and the UI is stuck. The top command says that ktorrent has "D" process status during the pause.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run ktorrent

Actual Results:
ktorrent pauses from time to time.

Expected Results:
No pauses should occur.

The workaround is to execute sync command every time this pause happens. After successful sync execution the pause ends immediately.

This started happening recently on my system, which could coincide with the upgrade from linux 4.1 to linux 4.2. I will try to confirm that tomorrow.

Thanks for the report Gustaw.

I've tested this on 5.2.0 ktorrent and I can't replicate this issue.

Can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved. I've set the bug status to "needsinfo" pending your response, please change back to "reported" or "resolved" when you respond, thanks.

I have no access to the Linux system I was using right now. I might be able to test it in a few months, but I can't guarantee it.

Thanks for the update Gustaw, I'm going to mark this as resolved for now as I cannot replicate the issue.

If you manage to test and replicate the issue in the coming months please reopen this bug report, thanks.
