Description vanessa 2015-10-02 23:17:44 UTC
Whenever you attempt to access a linked bookmark stored on an external site, the Okular KParts browser plugin returns a "Could not open [local filepath]. The file does not exist." instead of opening the bookmarked document in the same window.

All of the Glencoe Online Student Edition PDF resources use this scheme to avoid requiring the user to download the entire book rather than just the chapter you're viewing and require this feature in order to be usable.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a PDF with linked bookmarks in the KParts Okular plugin
2. Select a bookmark that links to another document on the same remote website

Actual Results:
Error message

Expected Results:
Opened the bookmarked link within the same window.

I am running Lubuntu 15.04 x86 using Firefox v41.0 and Okular 0.21.3

We're not maintaining the okular plugin for firefox.

Can you reproduce this error outside of firefox?
