Description frank 2015-10-02 20:22:34 UTC
when dragging a file across the folder list, it scrolls completely off the area(folder) I was moving the file TO !
Dolphin will go away if there is no choice to disable the BUG !!
NO AUTOSCROLL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. OPEN DOLPHIN
2. Move a file from the right dialog screen (folder & files)
3. Try to put it in a FOLDER on the left side and select 'Move' .... it will auto scroll off the screen!

Actual Results:
files end up everywhere EXCEPT where they should go !!!!

Expected Results:
NO AUTOSCROLL, no autoscroll of directory list on Left side of dolphin screen (OR anywhere else for that matter)
EVEN if the left directory screen has the directory, where I move the file TO, in the middle of the field, it will scroll after aboout 2 sec out of view. Then I have to canel the file move OR file where the file really went.

Thanks for the bug report, but I'm not really sure if I understand what exactly the problem is. Does the autoscroll start after you see the "Move to/..." menu, or before the menu opens?

I only get automatic scrolling before the menu opens, and it stops immediately when I move the mouse back to the folder that has been scrolled away, so I fail to understand what the "critical" bug is.

Maybe a clarifying screenshot would help?

Thanks for answering Frank.
When I begin to move the 'file' from the right window pane, just as I
get to the 'directory' on the left pane
where I want the 'file' to go, that 'directory' scrolls out of sight
either beyond the top or bottom.

Then I have to put the 'file' back where it came from, scroll back(left
pane) to the 'directory' where it should go,
and I try to move it again. Wish there was a way of just turning 'off'
autoscroll.

I will try to get a video of it.

Hi Frank,

Can you still recreate the issue on some more recent KDE?
If yes, please, send the video or screenshot that will explain this problem in more detail, please.

No response -> closing, cannot reproduce. Please reopen the report if you still experience this behavior with newer versions of Dolphin.
