I am using Kubuntu 15.10 beta and the version of KMail is 4.81beta1. I tried setting up my GMail account and so typed in my account details in the account setup wizard. When the checkbox for the lookup for service providers is ticked, it goes to the next screen and prompts me to have IMAP or POP3. when i selected IMAP and clicked next, it goes back to first page. i.e. it asks for email id and password. clicking next repeats the cycle but my account is not configured. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to account wizard 2. Type in email id and password for GMail and click next 3. Select IMAP account and click next Actual Results: it goes back to step 2. Expected Results: it should have setup my mail
I can reproduce this bug with a both a gmail and a web.de account and KMail 5.2.2. I enter the address, click next, it fetches the server addresses correctly, but clicking "next" just takes me back to where I came from.
The account wizard does not work at all. As soon as I have finished setting a POP3 account up where the automatical lookup of data is not possible, only a ghost profile is created. It lacks central information from the name of the profile to the pop3 server. Once I have changed it again I have to restart kmail and akonadi until it's actually displayed in the config dialogue.
