Description Andreas Ermler 2015-09-28 18:22:50 UTC
When I add an Openxchange calendar to KOrganizer it doesn't show up in the calendar list so I can't select it or add anything to it.
When I start akonadiconsole I can see the Openxchange resource.

(Acutally I'm not sure if it's a bug in KOrganizer or in Akonadi, it also doesn't work for KAddressbook).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add calendar
2. Select Open-Xchange Groupware Server
3. Enter connection data, press "Test connection", it says that the connection was successfully tested. Click "OK"

Actual Results:
No new calendar appears in the calendar list in the bottom left.

Expected Results:
Calendar should appear in the calendar list.

I tested it with the Korganizer 4.13 (in Kubuntu 14.04) and it works in that version.

Same for me

I have Akonadi version 15.08.2 running on Kubuntu 15.10 (KDE 4.14.13). Pressing "test connection" button on setup says that connection is ok. But calendar and contacts do not show up in Kontact. When I open Akonadi console, I can see the resource in the "Agents" tab, but not in the "Browser" tab.
Enabling the debugger and restarting the agent gives the following log:

Comment 3 Stephan Widor 2015-11-24 19:01:39 UTC
I would suggest moving this bug to Akonadi, OpenXchange component.
Comment 4 Andreas Ermler 2015-11-24 19:33:48 UTC
Okay, I moved it to Akonadi. The Akonadi version I'm using is 5.0.51, it wasn't in the list.
Comment 5 Denis Kurz 2017-06-23 20:17:31 UTC
This bug has never been confirmed for a Kontact version that is based on KDE Frameworks, except possibly a Technology Preview version 5.0.x. Those versions differ significantly from the old 4.x series. Therefore, I plan to close it in around two or three months. In the meantime, it is set to WAITINGFORINFO to give reporters the opportunity to check if it is still valid. As soon as someone confirms it for a recent version (at least 5.1, ideally even more recent), I'll gladly reopen it.

Please understand that we lack the manpower to triage bugs reported for versions almost two years beyond their end of life.
Comment 6 Stephan Widor 2017-06-24 11:25:23 UTC
Problem still exists on Kubuntu 17.04, KDE 5.31.0, Akonadi 5.2.2, Kontact 5.2.3. Openxchange server is com4.strato.com.
If you need more info, let me know. I will be happy to provide it.

Thanks for the update; changing status.
Comment 8 Stephan Widor 2017-06-26 15:22:52 UTC
Not sure if this helps: Running Kubuntu 14.04, KDE 4.14.13, Akonadi 1.13.0, Kontact 4.14.3 on another computer, the openxchange ressource for the same account on com4.strato.com does work.
Comment 9 Dennis Schridde 2020-02-11 06:32:27 UTC
Persists with KDE Frameworks 5.66.0, KDE Plasma 5.17.5, KDE Applications 19.04.3, Akonadi 1.13.0 on Fedora 31.
Comment 10 Bob Mattes 2020-11-20 16:13:11 UTC
Problem persists in KDE Plasma 5.20.3, Framework 5.75.0, KDE Apps 20.08.3, OpenSUSE Tumbleweed 20201117. OpenXchange account checks find during setup, but doesn't display anywhere in KOrganizer or Kontact. With CalDAV no longer working, this leaves KOrganizer useless and Kontact w/o a calendar.
