Sometimes when I move my Virtual Desktops with the pager, the desktop view does not move and all the icons and wallpaper are still on the other Virtual Desktop leaving me with a black screen. It only happens on my primary display the second one operates normally. This happens on both my Laptop and Desktop running Plasma 5.4.1 on Arch Linux. It started after the upgrade to Plasma 5.4. My current solution is to kill and relaunch plasmashell.
What window manager are you running?
KWin
OK, can you run : xwininfo -wm then click on the desktop
~ $ xwininfo -wm xwininfo: Please select the window about which you would like information by clicking the mouse in that window. xwininfo: Window id: 0x2a00010 "Desktop — Plasma" Window manager hints: Client accepts input or input focus: Yes Initial state is Normal State Displayed on all desktops Window type: Desktop Window state: Below Process id: 10143
Thanks.
