Description Philippe ROUBACH 2015-09-18 07:09:11 UTC
since about digikam 4.12

when exporting photos to picasa
then
each photos is compressed.

for example from 3.1 Mio to 1377 kb .

i don't ask for any resizing .

this phenomenon occurs for the first time at 2015/08/18

it is digikam which compresses because now it is very fast to export an album to picasa .

Reproducible: Always

Certainly it's due to new code introduced by Shourya this summer to fix Google service tool. I CC him for info.

Hello Philippe

I have fixed the problem. You could pull the changes from the kipi-plugins git repository if you build digiKam from source code. If you do not build from source code, you will find this fixed in digiKam 4.14.0 and till the next update is released I can tell you a work around for this problem.

The workaround : If you want the image to be not compressed, just set the Image Quality Spinbox value as 100. You can then leave the "Resize image before uploading" checkbox as checked or uncheck it, as you want.
