Description raivo.kask 2015-09-04 14:47:52 UTC
I have Xubuntu 15.04 with xfce and added:

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/vikoadi/ppa/ubuntu vivid main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/vikoadi/ppa/ubuntu vivid main
to /etc/apt/sources.list

Then I installed KDE Connect with:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install indicator-kdeconnect kdeconnect

All went OK and I received three entries in my desktop menu (under All):
1) KDE Connect
2) KDE Connect
3) KDE Connect Indicator

Behind these entries are following commands:
1) plasmawindowed org.kde.kdeconnect --statusnotifier
2) kcmshell5 kcm_kdeconnect
3) indicator-kdeconnect

Clicking 1&3 gives nothing ... same thing if the commands are given in a terminal window.
Clicking 2 gives the correct KDE Control Module - Connect and sync your devices with KDE.
This must be concidered as a bug ...

Reproducible: Always
