I was using the divider measuring tool in krita, when I pressed the undo hot key sequence to try and get the measuring tool off the canvas. This caused krita to freeze. I was unable to get krita to take any actions or change canvas or even access the menu. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open krita and start a new canvas. 2. Press the divider measuring tool and measure an angle. 3. Use the undo sequence, this should cause krita to freeze. Actual Results: Krita just freezes and will not do anything. Pressing the close button on the window causes KDE to open the not responding dialogue window. Expected Results: I am not sure if using the undo sequence will make the measuring tool go away, but that is what I expected to happen. It was the recent patch update on krita 2.9.7 from lime.
Hi Chris, I haven't managed to reproduce the issue yet, I must be missing something. The measure tool actually should disappear from the canvas the moment you select another tool, playing with it shouldn't add any steps to the undo queue. I see we have an issue where the Undo action is enabled even if there's nothing left to undo, which is weird in itself...
I tried to reproduce the bug by following the steps I took. But krita is behaving itself. You said the undo is enabled without anything int he undo. If the program performed an undo when it was blank, or unallocated it might have been able to read the unallocated or allocated dirty ram causing it to malfunction.
