This bug has never been confirmed for a Kontact version that is based on KDE Frameworks, except possibly a Technology Preview version 5.0.x. Those versions differ significantly from the old 4.x series. Therefore, I plan to close it in around two or three months. In the meantime, it is set to WAITINGFORINFO to give reporters the opportunity to check if it is still valid. As soon as someone confirms it for a recent version (at least 5.1, ideally even more recent), I'll gladly reopen it.

Please understand that we lack the manpower to triage bugs reported for versions almost two years beyond their end of life.

Still current, still looks exactly the same.

I'm using the Oxygen icon set and the Fusion widget style.

missing icon name in theses themes.
Comment 5 Gunter Ohrner 2017-07-07 12:04:20 UTC
Isn't there a way for the applications to fetch missing icons from some kind of fallback default style?

It's probably an unrealistic task for any but the default style to ship all required icons for each and every possible application - what about third party applications building on top of KDE Frameworks but not being part of the official KDE SC?

Gunter are you running a Plasma session? If not, you have to use qt5ct to allow applications to load icons from themes.

See https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/qt#Configuration_of_Qt5_apps_under_environments_other_than_KDE_Plasma

Yes, Plasma 5.10.3 from KDE Neon.
Comment 8 Laurent Montel 2019-08-13 11:30:50 UTC
I think that it's fixed now.
Please reopen it if it's not the case
