Description Dan Dart 2015-08-28 08:05:12 UTC
With the sidebar open, I can't create a new file in a directory by right clicking despite being asked for its name. It is always created in the root directory that I've navigated to.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open files sidebar
2. Switch to tree view
3. Navigate to a directory by clicking
4. Click the plus on a subdirectory inside it
3. Right click the subdirectory
4. Select "Create New" and "Text file"
5. Enter the name when prompted and select OK

Actual Results:
The file is created in the navigated directory, not the subdirectory.

Expected Results:
For the file to be created inside the subdirectory

Debian stable
Qt: 4.8.6
KDE Development Platform: 4.14.2
Kate: 3.14.2

I've just tried this in Kate 20.11.70 and cannot reproduce as the process has changed.

Have tested and confirmed I can create a new text file in a subdirectory.

Dan can you please re-test and confirm if this is still an issue, thanks.
