the review tools are not enabling for a particular document. neither the keyboard short-cut nor the drop-down menu option are providing me control over the review tools. In fact when I open the 'Tools' drop-down menu, the 'Review' option is not highlighted, or rather it is depicted in a darker shade of grey. it is this one file ("O'Brien, H.L. & Toms, E.G. (2008).pdf") that I am having the problem with. All permissions in the file properties are set to 'read & write'. At first, I thought it might have been because it was a 'temp' file (although this doesn't usually happen) so I saved the file to a standard location (my dropbox with the rest of my reading material) and the problem persisted. I am using Okular on Ubuntu 14.04. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open file 2. hit F6 3.or open Tools drop-down menu and select 'Review' Actual Results: nothing Expected Results: for the review tools menu to appear and be able to highlight and take notes from my reading. the option works fine on the other files... i thought it was a file issue but, the permissions are set to read and write. So, I thought I would report the bug to see if there was anyone else experiencing something similar or if someone could advise on the issue. thanks.
Cannot confirm this if the file is the one by the following address: http://faculty.arts.ubc.ca/hobrien/files/OBrien_Toms_2008_What_is_user_engagement.pdf Please supply at least the DOI of the publication (better attach the file itself) for someone to confirm the issue. Thanks in advance for your answer.
Created attachment 94230 [details] O'Brien, H.L. & Toms, E.G. (2008).pdf Hello Yuri Thank you very much for the quick response. that link you provided is indeed the file. I did not retrieve it from that URL but the problem is persisting with that one too. I'll attach the file I'm working on anyway. Thank you again for your hasty response, and for your help with this matter. PS - the issue is only with this file strangely enough. The file doesn't let you add notes. pdfinfo says Encrypted: yes (print:yes copy:yes change:no addNotes:no algorithm:AES) You may under your own responsability choose to ignore DRM limitations in the configuration dialog.
