Description Unknown 2015-08-23 14:12:41 UTC
Please add in that KCM modul informations about the used config-file.

Because this KCM doesn't implement all possible configurations (e.g. Exclude Filters) a user would look in the config file to know what is possible.

Using Kubunut 14.04.3 LTS.
baloo -v tell me
Qt: 4.8.6
KDE Development Platform: 4.13.3
: 0.1

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Alexander Potashev 2016-03-12 12:12:13 UTC
This is still relevant to Baloo KCM in Plasma 5.5.5.
Comment 2 fire f. 2018-11-19 09:59:26 UTC
should be a standard feature.

especially for KRunner.
Comment 3 David Edmundson 2021-07-04 15:15:20 UTC
If a user can't manage to find a config independently, they won't know how to edit it safely.

There isn't a use case for a hybrid.

It sounds a bit unrealistic.

In the *nix world are different places and ways to store configuration informations. A application should be transparent about this and just tell the user where the config file is.

This is not the first time I see this attitude in the KDE environment. This does not help the project.
