Description cmkde 2001-11-21 06:04:50 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: korganizer
Version: 2.2 (using KDE 2.2.1 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: from RPM

It looks like an event drag to the date navigator does a copy not a move. The event is duplicated at the same time on the new day instead of rescheduled.

This is intentional, but it should probably changed to be compatible with
standard drag&drop methods to specify copy and move operations.

It might be intentional, but there is currently no way to move the event this way. Pressing
Ctrl while dropping copies (as expected), but pressing shift (usually means moving)
does also duplicate.

It should probably be like:
no key pressed: show a popup menu: Copy, Move, Cancel
Shift pressed: move
Ctrl pressed: copy

Hmm, I fixed this with revision 1.40 of kodaymatrix.cpp, and even added a CCMAIL line for 35163-done@bugs.kde.org, but the mail obviously didn't get
through.
This wish is implemented in the latest version of KDE (will be 3.2).
