Description Dan Dart 2015-08-20 08:16:38 UTC
Hi,

The system seems to not pay attention to powerdevil settings
Examples:
If it's set to suspend or hibernate on 5% battery, it just dies at 0% losing any working data.
If it's set to lock or turn off screen on lid closed it just suspends whatever it's told to do.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
If it's set to suspend or hibernate on 5% battery, it just dies at 0% losing any working data.
If it's set to lock or turn off screen on lid closed it just suspends whatever it's told to do.

Actual Results:
Powerdevil settings are not controllable within the interface (they are settable but the system doesn't pay attention to them)

Expected Results:
that Powerdevil will listen to what it's told and comply with user settings.

Happens on stable -> sid versions of kde.
Current version info:

$ kcmshell4 -v
Qt: 4.8.6
KDE Development Platform: 4.14.2
KDE Control Module: 4.14.2

Not putting on critical although system loses data you can prevent this by double checking your hardware is all plugged in.

This happens on an HP pavilion g6.

Cheers

Is this still reproducible for you in Plasma 5.17 or the 5.18 beta?
