column widths in the message list must be reset manually every time you start the program.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
start or restart


Actual Results:  
column widths lost

Expected Results:  
should memorize column widths or autosize to width at least as wide as the column's content needs.

4.14.2 is very old.
Could you test last 4.14 version or kf5 version ?

I'm working here with plasma 5.6 and here kmail behaves in that way too. Too bad, because kmail is becoming really good!

At least on my machine this annoying bug stopped occurring suddenly only two weeks ago. I use kde Neon user edition and my kmail2 version is 5.9.1.
