When I use plasmashell 5 with Xmonad windown manager instead of kwin, switching desktop or window makes pages redraw itself with one second long delay. Previous plasma shell from KDE 4 doesn't have this problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start with fresh KDE configuration 2. Install Xmonad (fedora package: xmonad) 3. Clone my xmonad config repository (https://github.com/marbu/xmonad) into ~/.xmonad and configure Xmonad/KDE integration as described in the README file 4. Login into plasma shell again and check that Xmonad integration is working 5. Try to switch desktops, open multiple windows on at least one desktop Actual Results: When I switch desktop or change active window focus, pager redraws itself with noticeable one second delay during which there is nothing to be seen on the part of the screen where pager belongs. Expected Results: Pager redraws itself fast enough for me (or any other human) to not notice anything. This is not related to the computing power of the machine, I see this issue both on quite old one (9 year's old laptop) and on brand new workstation. Previous version KDE 4 Plasma doesn't have this issue and everything works smoothly without any problem.
Additional note: version of xmonad is 0.11 (as packaged in Fedora 22).
Confirm for me, Xmonad 0.12, Plasma 5.5.5, Gentoo stable. Pager redraws in nearly a second.
It's important for me as well. Xmonad 0.12, plasma 5.6.4, archlinux.
This should be fixed with the Pager rewrite in 5.8.
