Description Evert Vorster 2015-07-29 07:23:24 UTC
The project that I am working on has a few aerial shots from a helicopter.
The shots are shakey and noisy.
So, when I stabilize the shots, I get an .mlt file.
When I drag this into the timeline, the audio file that gets split out (I have automatic splitting of audio on) does not have an audio thumbnail. As it's just noise, I ungroup the audio and video, and delete the audio. When I play this section, the audio from the clip still plays.
I am unable to add the "mute" effect, as I get an error message when I try.

I can get around it by either rendering the .mlt and dragging it back in, or muting the video channel.

Oh, it would be a nice feature to be able to right-click on an .mlt file and render & add it to the project.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Import .mlt file that has audio
2. Split out audio on the timeline
3. Delete audio part
4. Play that part of the project.

Actual Results:
The audio from the .mlt file still plays, even though it's been removed.

Expected Results:
silence

Revisiting my old bugs.

This one is still valid on the latest git master as of 2015-10-05.
I use automatic splitting of audio from video clips.

The audio that is split out from a .mlt file does not have a thumbnail.

Also, adding the "mute" effect has no effect, and sound still plays when playing the clip on the timeline, even after the mute effect has been applied.

Happens every time. I know it's easy to work around by just deleting the audio part of the clip, but it's an annoyance, and detracts from the overall polish of kdenlive.

Looks like this works properly now.
Wonder when it was fixed?
